Surveying - Survey Project Manager
KPM Franklin is a rapidly growing, multi-disciplined professional services land planning, engineering, and surveying firm. Our surveying department is full-service offering boundary, ALTA/NSPS, topographic, wetland, tree, control surveys, right-of-way mapping, Platting, FDOT, and construction layout/builder services. We are seeking a full-time Survey Project Manager to join our Orlando, Florida or Kissimmee, Florida office. We offer a very competitive salary and benefits package. Duties and Responsibilities
- Managing projects from start to completion
- Performs QA/QC of Survey & Mapping products
- Ensures that all surveying products and data, as well as, geometric accuracy and completeness according to the Standards of Practice Chapter 5j-17 Florida Administrative Code
- Project Research
- Prepare sketch and descriptions
- Field Crew Calculations
- Determines survey and mapping staff hour estimates
- Attends meetings
- Train staff
Requirements, Qualifications, and Education
- HS diploma/GED required (AS or BS degree in land surveying or related field a plus)
- At least 5-10+ years of experience as a Survey Project Manager
- Experience coordinating proposals, invoices, labor tracking activities, and contract submittals
- Experience in Right of Way Mapping, Right of Way Control Survey, Engineering Design Survey, Route Survey, Utility Mapping, Boundary survey, Topographic Survey, ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Construction Layout, Platting Subdivisions, Platting & Documents Condominium, As-Built Surveys, Aerial Control Surveys
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D (a must)
- FDOT experience (a plus)
- Proficient in Geopak, MicroStation SS4, MicroStation, and OpenRoads (a plus)
- Knowledge of FDOT surveying/mapping procedures (a plus)
- Knowledge of latest technology related to UAVs, Mobile and Terrestrial Lidar (a plus)
- Experience with Lidar processing and/or extraction software (a plus)
- Professional Licensed Surveyor Registered in the State of Florida (a plus)
- CST certification (a plus)
